Namaha - Laasya’s Classical Dance Festival celebrates the beauty of Bharatanatyam and the journey of every dancer. Through mentorship, learning, and performance, the festival creates a meaningful space where tradition is honored and talent is nurtured.

Namaha features Karnataka Kalashri Dr. Anuradha Vikranth, internationally acclaimed Bharatanatyam and Bharatanrityam danseuse, Artistic Director of Drishti Art Centre (Bengaluru), and one of India’s most respected performers and choreographers.

The program includes:

  • A featured solo performance by Dr. Anuradha Vikranth, presenting her signature blend of tradition and innovation

  • Group performances by Laasya students, shaped through the workshop and crafted specially for the festival stage

Dr. Anuradha Vikranth

Karnataka Kalashri Dr. Anuradha Vikranth is a renowned Bharatanatyam danseuse celebrated for her creativity, versatility, and grace. A direct disciple of Padma Vibhushan Guru Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam, she has undergone intensive training in Karanas and the principles of the Nātyaśāstra, and has also received Bharatanatyam training under Guru Smt. Nirupama Rajendra and Guru Smt. Narmada. She holds both a Master's degree and Ph.D. in Bharatanatyam from SASTRA University, Thanjavur. Her relentless pursuit of knowledge and dedication to excellence have enabled her to integrate tradition with innovation, earning her acclaim as an accomplished dancer, inspiring teacher, creative choreographer, and accomplished organizer.

Dr. Vikranth is the founder and creative director of Drishti Art Centre, established in Bengaluru in 2001, which was recognized as the Best Classical Dance Training Institute at the National Education Excellence Awards 2019. A recipient of numerous accolades including the Karnataka Kalashri by the Sangeetha Nritya Academy, Government of Karnataka, she has performed at prestigious cultural centers across India, USA, Canada, UK, and UAE, consistently enthralling audiences, connoisseurs, and critics alike.
